Item Description
14-3/8x21-3/8" Strathmore artboard has pen and ink original art by Owen Fitzgerald (1916-1994), known for this long association w/Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies comic book from the 1940s through the 1960s. Offered here is the original art for page 5 of Adventures Of Bob Hope #62, published by DC Comics in May 1960. Four panel page is from Cal Howard story about Bob Hope arriving at run-down "Haunted House." Hope appears in every panel. Top margin has printed and pasted DC/title stat w/inked issue/page numbers as well as publication date. Back has Comics Code Authority inkstamp. Top three panels have large "X" sliced into surface w/2" line sliced through artboard. Top right corner has some stray ink splotching, not affecting art. Artboard has lt. all over dust soiling. Fine overall.
