Item Description
Lot of eight patches, typically 3x4" in size. Lot includes "Glo-Crest" Captain Marvel patch from c. 1945 series produced by Anglo-American Publishing Co. Series consists of 10 glow-in-the-dark patches. Still glows brightly. This Captain Marvel is patch is rare and the most desirable of the series. Exc. Rest of lot consists of seven shield-shaped patches w/silk-screened designs. Fawcett Publications Inc., c. 1946. Lot includes three different color variety Captain Marvel patches (standing w/yellow accents, blue bkg., green bkg.) as well as two color varieties (blue and green bkg.) for Captain Marvel Jr. and Mary Marvel. Varying degrees of wear to backing material, but fronts remain clean and all display Exc. An instant collection. Harry Matetsky Collection.
