Item Description
8.5x11" sheet of storyboard paper features pen and ink w/gray colored pencil accents in six pre-printed storyboard squares for the third episode of Hanna-Barbera's Super Friends cartoon, which first aired on ABC on Sept. 23, 1978. Episode was titled "Battle At The Earth's Core" and features Superman and Batman, Robin, Wonder Woman and Aquaman being sucked into the Earth's hollow core. Everyone but Superman are in Batman's Multi-Craft (Batboat) when the whirlpool strikes. Art is by noted comic artist (and Hanna-Barbera animation design artist) Alex Toth (1928-2006). First panel clearly shows the Batboat w/vague figure images while Superman is clearly depicted in four of the following panels; Batman and Robin in two, Wonder Woman in two and Aquaman in one. Extensive handwritten storyboard text and dialogue written on sheet. First panel has small hole to Superman image and sheet shows some handling wear. VF overall.
