Item Description
2.5x3.5" wooden base w/foam feet features pair of Micro Collection figurines of Darth Vader and Bespin Luke Skywalker w/dueling lightsabers. Metal plaque on front w/screen-printed "Kenner, The Force Will Be With You In '82'" text. Kenner Toy Fair Engineering Award. This small trophy was presented to the Kenner Engineering Department at the 1982 Toy Fair Breakfast. Created in-house at Kenner in smaller numbers than the plastic base version (see previous lot). Text in serif font style. Ironically the Micro Collection was canceled that year due to poor sales. Darth Vader's plastic lightsaber is missing but metal peg is in place at hand, not broken. Lt. aging/handling wear. Exc. Rare Kenner item and we are offering both versions in this auction. Tad Moore Collection.
