Item Description
8" tall type 2 Mego bodied Series 2 Star Trek Alien Andorian figure. ©1976 Paramount. This figure was obtained from a former Mego designer. This one of a kind early test shot was used in promotional photography to sell the line. Head is produced from factory mold w/© on neck. Slight differences are tunic has die-cut diamonds versus painted, different styled brown boots and brown painted gloves. Belt has slight size difference to diamond in front. The authenticity story of this and the other three Star Trek Aliens being offered in this auction can be read online at the Mego Museum website as well as in articles featured in Toy-Ventures Magazine and Toycollectr Magazine. Figure has expected lt. aging/wear. Figure has very typical broken leg pin on left leg. Boots have small chew marks on tips. Lt. soiling. Overall displays Exc. as originally produced.
