Item Description
6.75" tall Mego bodied Series 2 Star Trek Alien Talos figure. ©1976 Paramount. This figure was obtained from a former Mego designer. This one of a kind early test shot was used in promotional photography to sell the line. Head is produced from factory mold w/© on neck. Costume is very much a prototype and completely different than production w/two piece yellow suit w/gold trim at bottom of knee length pants. A gold chain is around his neck and fastened to front of shirt (production figure had a black belt and a ornate collar piece). Boots appear to be Teen Titans boots painted brown. Small bit of adhesive on soles. The authenticity story of this and the other three Star Trek Aliens being offered in this auction can be read online at the Mego Museum website as well as in articles featured in Toy-Ventures Magazine and Toycollectr Magazine. Figure has expected lt. aging/wear. Lt. soiling to yellow costume. Overall displays Exc. as originally produced.
