Item Description
Offered here is the earliest complete pre-production Chewbacca action figure known to exist. AFA graded and encapsulated 4.25" tall Kenner action figure. No copyright information on back of leg. "First 12" first shots are earlier material and no protomolds and hardcopies are known to exist w/exception of a few parts. Because this is an earlier version, the details are more pronounced and sharper. Made of stiffer plastic than production figures, this First Shot lacks a peg hole in underside of one foot and is unpainted. Encapsulated w/alternate bowcaster w/open trigger guard and tab on top. Archival case. All prototypes/first shots of Kenner's first 12 Star Wars figures are extremely rare and rarely come up for auction. This First Shot represents one of the earliest Chewbacca figures, as originally sourced from a former Kenner employee who stated it was among the first created upon completion of the molds. Comes with Collectible Investment Brokerage (CIB) LOA.
