11x13" painted original art on heavy paper. Art is for the cover to 1952 Little Golden Book "Bil Baird's Whistling Wizard." Art credited to Mel Crawford in book. Nice image of title character Dooley, The Whistling Wizard and J.P. and Heathcliff. Based on character created by American puppeteer William "Bil" Baird (1904-1987), known for his creation was Charlemane the Lion. Type overlay taped to back of painting. Lt. aging/trace wear to art. Margins have tack holes and some tape residue. Exc. Comes w/reading copy of the book this art was published for.
