Item Description
10.5x15.75" artboard has pen and ink original art by Dick Ayers (1924-2014). Offered here is the original art for page 26 of Incredible Hulk #143, published by Marvel in Sept. 1971. Art was inked by John Severin (1921-2012). Six panel page is from "Sanctuary!" story by Roy Thomas and shows Doctor Doom delivering his typical monologue regarding Latveria becoming "Master Of All Europe" w/the help of two allies, referring to The Incredible Hulk and his alter ego Dr. Robert Bruce Banner, who is seen in last panel, hooked up to Doom's Subliminal Inducer machine. Doom appears in first five panels, while Banner only appears in last panel. Top margin has stamped title and inked issue/page numbers. Back has some preliminary pencil sketches and Comics Code Authority inkstamp. Lower right has .75x1" area of faint staining, affecting Banner's leg, o/w rest of art remains clean and VF/Exc.
