Item Description
2.5x3.25" printed on thin paper. These were originally issued as 5.5x8" sheets w/four cards per sheet that were meant to be hand cut and mounted in a corresponding album. These sheets were actual pages from the Cuban "Sports Almanac" magazine titled "Almanaque Deportivo." There are 160 cards in the set. Set features former and future Major Leaguers along w/Negro League and Caribbean stars.
Joseph Gentry "Jess" Jessup (1914 - 1998) was an American baseball pitcher in the Negro leagues. He played from 1940 to 1948 with the Birmingham Black Barons and Chicago American Giants.
