Item Description
3x4". The 1931 W517 baseball set consists of 54 cards. Each player' photograph is centered within a thick border with the player either posed or in portrait style. The player's name, team and league appear on each, as does the card number. As was the case with many of the strip cards of the time, the W517 are blank-backed.
Frederick Charles Lindstrom (1905-1981) was an American professional baseball third baseman and outfielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Giants, Pittsburgh Pirates, Chicago Cubs and Brooklyn Dodgers from 1924 until 1936. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1976. The autograph is bold and distinct in the middle of the card. This signed copy is one of only three examples ever graded by PSA with only one other graded higher.
