Item Description
This election inaugurated the wide-spread use of campaign medalets. This piece is very thin brass 15/16" dia. listed as DeWitt/Sullivan as AJ1824-5. Front has his portrait facing left and his name while reverse has the slogan "The Nation's Pride." On the front, the letters of his title "Genl" are struck weakly but all other details are sharp and clear with very nice bright brass coloration. VF.
