Item Description
Hake #71. 1.25" superb multicolor of TR seated on horseback saluting and with the American flag flying above a hill in the bkg. captioned "San Juan." Rim reads in full "Theodore Roosevelt For President 1904." Bottom has tiny copyright text of Detroit designer "Charles K. Cohn." Button is missing its backpaper. Design is shifted a little towards the top but still his name is completely readable along the top edge. There are a couple of light hairline scratches that will catch reflected light but these are minor and typical and button displays essentially Mint with intense color and high gloss. For total accuracy, we mention a 1/16" exceedingly faint tan mark just above his hat although without magnification this mark doesn't show. An extremely fine example of a scarce classic.
