Item Description
High quality 18.5x27.75" frame contains elaborate and professionally quadruple-matted display of Douglas's clipped signature, which has been matted to 1x3". Douglas served in the US House of Representatives 1843-1847 and as a US senator from IL from 1847-1861. He ran but ultimately lost the 1860 presidential election to Abraham Lincon. His spirited 1858 debates against Lincoln are referenced in the included engraved name plaque which reads "Stephen A. Douglas 1813-1861 (Lincoln-Douglas Debates)." Display also comes with a bw litho portrait print of Douglas, a smaller inset image showing a scene from his life. Signature has slightly faded, but still remains quite legible. Exc. display. Comes with Hake's COA.
