Item Description
11.75x11.75” image area. 18x20” mat. Art is matted and captioned by the original collector who presented this as part of a traveling editorial cartoon exhibition. Chapin’s name appears in lower right. Lower left reads “N.W.N.S.” Chapin was an artist for the National Weekly Newspaper Service. Notation on back notes that Chapin “Drew Up Until August 1962/Died In October 1962/87 Years Old.” Ink on art paper. Bright, clean and Exc.
