11.5x13” image area. 16x20” overall. Matted and captioned by the original collector who presented this as part of a traveling editorial cartoon exhibition. John “Honeyfitz” Fitzgerald was Mayor of Boston 2 times. He is John Fitzgerald Kennedy’s grandfather. This 1913 cartoon shows “Fitz” dancing with lady “Boston.” She holds a dance card that reads “Order Of The Dance/1 Fitz/2 Fitz/3 Fitz.” She is seen saying “I’m Afraid I’ll Never Get A Chance To Dance With Anyone Else.” Onlookers are identified as Curley, Murphy, Kenney, Smith, Keliher.
