Item Description
Lot of 3. All are advertising French breakfast mix. Two celluloid figures with product name and slogan “Petit Dejeoner Familial” (family breakfast drink) slogan on front of each. Each wears red Fez. First is 8.5” tall. Acts as shaker (rattle). Apparently missing arms as two pin holes appear on shoulder areas. Stands well. VG. Second is 6” tall. Text on front faded. String on Fez top for hanging. Lt. wear. Fine. Both c. 1930s. 3.5x5.5” post card with text at bottom “Stan Banania Exposition Coloniale.” Expo was held in Vincennes, France in 1931 to promote nations of French Colonial Empire. Unused. Exc. See previous lot #849 & following lot #851. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
