Auction #200 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1186 in auction 200
Item Description
Extremely impressive size and beautiful full color portrait against bkg. that shades from lt. blue to cream. Name of maker W&H appears on the curl. Reverse has cardboard back which once had a cardboard stand-up easel but this is now gone along with about 50% of the patterned surface paper. The celluloid remains exceptionally clean and glossy although in reflected light there is some small traces of hairline scratching in the area of his forehead and left side of his face plus a .25” area on his coat lapel. These marks are not deep at all and under normal viewing do not show. Rare and unlisted in Hake.
