Item Description
Large 27” tall molded fiberglass figure of “Robertson’s” Golliwog on wooden base. Open area for displaying approximately 5” tall jar of Robertston’s marmalade. When displayed, open area has light bulb within, causing marmalade jar to glow. c. 1950s and comes with 5” tall jar (jar is c. 1990s). Wiring/light system is English with oversized 3-pronged plug for 250 volt system with pronged light bulb though this could easily be converted to US-style wiring if so desired. Holes in top of Golliwog’s head also light up when display is in use. Golliwog figure shows aging/dust soiling, most noticeable on pants and jacket arms which also have a few paint flakes. .5x.75” area of painted touch-up above left eye and below left hand. Still displays Fine/VF. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
