4x14x4" tall toy comes in box w/nicely illustrated lid. This toy was first produced in 1964 by T.P.S. although this is early 1970s made in Taiwan version by Day-Fran, however, both box and toy are identical. Box is Exc. Toy depicts futuristic space train, mostly tin litho although w/plastic front and rear pieces and canopy over astronaut figure. Astronaut is seated behind elaborate computer equipment. On sides are simulated windows w/images of children and animals in spacesuits including dogs and a monkey. Bottom side edges have exhaust jets w/flames. Toy travels around w/non-stop action as it produces a loud "space noise," front plastic section rotates and flashes red/green, back section w/tail fins also rotate. Has some minute scattered paint nicks but as produced. N. Mint.
