Item Description
2.25” long by .75” thick celluloid over metal open on 3 sides for insertion of a large match box. Celluloid has about a dozen tiny nicks or age dots but these are primarily not on the side showing the team. Group sits on a slight slope with 15 men in baseball uniforms, one man in suit and tie and another man in suit and tie holding a giant megaphone. The sign board in back of them reads “Hoosier/Material & Supply Corp./Building Materials. Fenestra Steel Sash/1326 Eliza Street.” The side edge of this piece and the opposite panel largely repeat the same information as on the sign but with addition in tiny text of the item maker “Brown & Bigelow, St. Paul, Minn.” Metal edges have a few tiny ripples but overall condition remains VG and with team photo displaying VF. From the Richard Merkin Collection. Comes with Hake’s COA.
