Item Description
1930s lot for this popular promotion that involved many different bakeries. First and foremost is 8x19.5” tri-fold, die-cut sign. Designed to be folded and have a bread loaf placed on top. Center image is of Mickey holding an example card featuring him playing polo. On either side are images of his nephews painting text on the sign and Pluto barking. Text promotes the cards that were packaged one per loaf of bread as well as the scrapbook. Without bakery imprint. Third panel has very lightly written “Counter Display” at blank area. Scattered trace of aging and handling wear including some surface paper nicks/rubs along edges and corner tips. Faint 2” crease at left. Remains bright with vibrant color. Fine. Included is 4x6” scrapbook with imprint of “Bell” bread and 7 different 2.75x4.25” colorful cards. Four have “Bell Bread” imprint while three have “Maier’s.” Scrapbook has noticeable tan staining to both front/back cover margins, small trace to interior but for the most part contents remain clean. Still Fine. The Maier’s cards have lt. aging, mostly to reverses, single tiny margin tear. Fine. The Bell cards are N. Mint.
