9.25x13.75x4.25” deep hinged lid wooden store display box for Brownie Brand Salted Peanuts distributed by United Fig & Date Co. c. early 1900s. Underside of lid has text “It’s That After Taste – The More I Eat The More I Want.” Nice image of Brownie holding bowl of nuts. Metal hinges show signs of oxidation and one hinge is partially loose but box retains its shape overall. Partial paper tape remnants remain on top panel and side. Fine+. Interior Brownie image remains distinct and VF.
