Item Description
1-11/16” white metal. This is the second largest medal of those issued for Harrison in 1840. The text and scenes relate to the Whig party fair held at the Bunker Hill Monument, Sep. 8, 1840. One side depicts the monument itself while the opposite side shows the death scene of General Warren at Bunker Hill. The piece was designed by Mitchell of Boston. Very clear details with about 15% of the original silver luster remaining. Couple of very tiny edge bumps on the rim. Scarce.
