Item Description
This unlisted item features a 1.25” real photo sepia button reading on his shoulder “Copyright/Bell/Washington/1903.” Button is tabbed into a brass luster twisted rope frame. On the reverse the button once had a horizontal pin but this was neatly clipped off where it extended from the collet so that a spring pin could be inserted holding the trio of rwb ribbons. The red and blue ribbons are Exc. The white ribbon with the gold text has a tiny .25” pull on upper right edge, a small dot of missing fabric and small split above the letter “L” and a very fine small split through the letter “R” of “FAIR.” The text reads in full “Annual Fair/York, Pa., Oct. 2-5th, 1906.” Other than the one ribbon, all essentially is Mint. Only example we’ve seen. From the Morry Greener Collection.
