Item Description
14.5x21” archival mat has 7-7/8x14.5” opening revealing matador in center of ring with bull as large crowd looks on. Center left side has date of 1929 and imprint for “Laubert Photo Bayonne.” Photo may have been taken at exhibition bull fight held in New York City area. Well-dressed crowd appears to be mostly Americans. Photo is lightly but evenly tanned. VG overall but displays Exc. as matted. Add a frame and you have a great display picture. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
