Item Description
5.75” dia. wooden base displays 3x3.25x5.25” tall metal model of the spaceship seen in the 1953 film adaptation of H.G. Wells’ classic sci-fi film. Model was created by Robert J. Sabbia of Farside Creations c. 1990s and has tag on underside of base noting such. Model is suspended on 3 clear plastic “legs” and "hovers" over pock-marked surface. Sabbia was an Aeronautical Engineer and worked on various military aircraft designs. Sabbia has a flare for science fiction and fantasy themes as seen with this precision scale model. He has won many awards and been featured in various modeler magazines. Exc. display.
