Three items. 8.5” wide by 1.75” tall overall ceramic feeding dish has high relief image of Sarah Jane in seated position at right side. 1930s. Joan Shorter, A.J. Wilkinson England stamped on underside. Underside has .25” chip at lower left corner tip not noticeable from front. Typical crazing. Displays Fine. 2.75” dia. pressed cardboard candy container has many different images of Golliwog characters. Light surface dust soil. Bit of age yellowing. Fine. 1920s. “Golliwog-A Round Game” card deck comes in 2-5/8x3.75” die-cut cardboard box with nice graphics on front of Golliwog with Peg and Mary Jane.” Thos. DeLarue & Co. Ltd. London. Early 1900s. Contains complete set of 48 cards with wonderful illustrations “From Florence K. Upton’s Original Designs.” Includes instruction card. Images include Golliwog and Peg at ball, the African and Sarah Jane, black servant, Ladizman the Chief, Weg drumming, Weg and Meg etc. Box has lt. surface dust soil with a few moisture marks around front edge. Blank back has pencil scribbles and bit of missing surface paper. Front Fine, back VG. Cards show little use. VF. Wonderful graphics. Nice group of Golliwog items. From the Richard Merkin Collection and come with Hake’s COA.
