Item Description
See Richard Merkin biography in item #2088. This art is c. late 1970s. 32x48” sheet of masonite has mixed media original painting with Felix standing between Charlie Chaplin and W.C. Fields against abstract bkg. Scattered wear around edges, bumps at corner tips with a few tiny bits of missing color in these areas. Will frame to bright and Exc. appearance. Bright color and great design. The art is not signed but comes with a typed and notarized letter on Merkin’s personal letterhead from his widow attesting to his creation of this work. Very conservative opening compared to prices for his work in galleries.
