6.25x9.25" hardcover contains 304 b/w pages on high quality stiff paper with numerous self-caricatures, specialty drawings and published examples. Includes Superman, Krazy Kat, Walt Disney, Tarzan, Popeye, Dick Tracy, Buck Rogers, Flash Gordon, Blondie, many others. Published by Hale Cushman & Flint. Flyleaf page has nice fountain pen ink inscription in 1.25x5.25" area at top "Best Wishes To Mr. & Mrs. William Owen Sincerely, Martin Sheridan March 19, 1942." Likely a first edition. Tiny trace of wear at corner tips, first several pages have very light and faint moisture mark in 1" area at blank bottom edges but book is overall clean, tight and Fine/VF. One of the nicest books ever done on cartoonists with wonderful specialty art. Scarce as a signed copy. Comes with Hake's COA.
