Corbett says "If Jim Flynn Defeats Jack Johnson, I Will Feel Under Everlasting Obligations To Him. My Feelings Toward Jack Johnson Are Too Well Known To Repeat". Sporting editor of the San Francisco Examiner says "The Man Who Defeats Johnson - If He Is A White Man - Will Probably Have It In His Power To Amass More Wealth Than Any World's Champion Who Preceded Him". Sporting editor of the Denver Post says "In Meeting Jim Flynn, Jack Johnson Will Face The Best White Man Of The Day. I Look For Him To Give Johnson The Hardest Fight Of His Career And There Was A Chance On July 4th At Las Vegas Of Seeing The Birth Of A White Man Wearing The Heavyweight Championship Crown". Press agent for the fight says "If Jim Flynn Fails To Defeat Jack Johnson This Afternoon It Will Only Be Because The Big Black Is Invincible". Issue also includes full page ad for "Cafe-De Champion Jack Johnson Proprietor" Chicago Cabaret scheduled to open July 10th. Back cover has nice green tone ad for Durham-Duplex razor endorsed by baseball player Christy Mathewson showing him in uniform with title at top "A Game Fighter And A Close Shave". Program has numerous pinholes throughout at right side. Covers have a few moisture marks and some dust soil. Good/VG but complete and rare. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with COA.
