©1932 made by Dunbar Glass Corporation Dunbar, West Virginia. Includes 18.5" tall cocktail shaker with sterling silver top, 6" tall ice bucket with metal handle, and five glasses, each 6.5" tall. Group includes clipped illustrated vintage magazine ad that pictures the cocktail shaker referred to as "Big Bertha" with one gallon capacity which sold for $15.00. Two of the glasses are also shown in ad photo. Cocktail shaker is largest of four made that were pictured in the ad. Images include typical well-dressed Held young people in drinking and dancing activities. Cocktail shaker captions include "Whoop-ee", "Whoo-Rah", "Hip-Hip", and "Looking At You." Glass captions include "Sweet Music", "Down The Hatch", "High-Di-High!", "Let Joy Be Unrefined", and "Ally-Oop!" Ice bucket is captioned "Whoop-ee." Five glasses and ice bucket have glossy silk screened images. Handle of ice bucket has tarnish. Painted rim has one tiny flake of paint off back. Fine. Cocktail shaker lid has tarnish and .75" split at bottom rim. Images show wear but text still readable and images are VG/Fine. Glasses are free of defects and Exc. Clipped magazine ad has been folded in half and comes along for reference. Wonderful group for display with classic Held art. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
