Item Description
This salesman's sample miniature baseball is about half the size of a normal sized baseball and has a clear red ink signature of Franklin D. Roosevelt. Signature stretched across sweet spot. Ball has some aging to leather and some scuffs to adjoining panel which does not affect signature. A lover of baseball, Pres. Roosevelt attended many games and threw out the first pitch for many of them. He was the first president to attend an all-star game. Throughout his presidency he attended games regularly until the outbreak of WWII. While it is not uncommon that Roosevelt handled a baseball, this small sized sample is an interesting find. Ball is Fine w/VF signature. Comes w/letter of authenticity from Hake's.
