2-5/8" dia. by 4.5" tall phonograph record carton © 1904 National Phonograph Co. Last patent date on carton is April 23, 1907. April 1908 date appears in gold margin underneath signature. Beautifully designed vintage carton has cardboard end caps and a gold border at top and bottom w/"Thomas A. Edison" signature printed several times around carton. Large flowing gold/red text is printed beside bw photo image of Edison in an oval frame-like printing w/his signature printed below. Beautiful and bold black inked signature "Thos. A. Edison" written above gold margin where top end cap would go. Carton has some soiling over most of paper area but this does not detract greatly from image or signature. Fine w/VF signature. The brilliant inventor's signature on one of the cartons for his one of many brilliant inventions. Comes w/letter of authenticity from Hake's.
