Item Description
American League ball c. 1928, the last year both Cobb and Speaker played baseball and the only year that Speaker played for the Athletics. Most of text printed on ball at time of production has worn off. Has alternating blue/red stitching. Four signatures. Cobb and Speaker have signed on the sweet spot, Cobb ending, Speaker beginning respectively. Mack and Collins have signed on opposite ends of the same panel. Collins signature has some wear affecting its legibility. Mostly affects "Eddie Coll" but the remaining signatures remain bold and all are done in black ink. Speaker and Mack signatures have very minor smudging but this does not affect legibility. Ball has overall aging and tan spotting but remains structurally sound and is Fine. Comes w/letter of authenticity from Hake's.
