Item Description
Each thin art board has 21-1/8x28-1/8" India ink image area including "Little Brother" topper strip and 16-panel Bungle Family strip.(See #2169 for history of this comic strip.) Dates and hand inked titles include: April 29- "Another Neighbor's Day", May 13- "George Was Handicapped", May 20- "Another Neighborly Duel", May 27- "Domestic High-Finance", June 24- "Dreaming", July 29- "They're Off!", Aug. 5- "Another Red-Letter Day", Aug. 12- "Diplomacy Gone Wrong", Aug. 19- "Disappointed Heirs", Aug. 26- "Another Lesson". Storylines include George locked out of his apartment while wet, arguing with doughnut maker, hiding from freeloader who wants a ride, arguing with wife, getting lost while driving home in the dark, playing game at picnic, and trying to get money out of grate. Each original is signed by Tuthill in ink in one bottom panel. Art boards have some wear around edges and image area has a few moisture marks here and there. April 29 example has 1x2" piece gone at right side of panel 12. Overall VG/Fine. Well-drawn and funny. All pages shown online.
