Item Description
Each thin art board has 21-1/8x28-1/8" India ink image area including "Little Brother" topper strip and 16-panel Bungle Family strip. (See #2169 for history of this comic strip.) Dates and hand inked titles include: Jan. 6- "The Open Season On Hunters", Jan. 13- "Another Short Cut To Trouble", Jan. 20- "False Alarm", Jan. 27- "Experts", Feb. 3- "The Over-Worked Dog Trainer", Feb. 10- "A Model Man", Feb. 17- "Students", Feb. 24- "Helping A Neighbor Again", Mar. 3- "Champions All", Mar. 10- "The Annual Scare". Humorous story lines include George trying to be a hunter, trying to thaw out a frozen pipe, trying to fix sweeper that wasn't broken, trying to train dog, and taking a test from a floor model radio. Left margin edges of all ten boards have very slight age warp, image areas have some lt. dust soil and a few minor moisture marks, but group overall has Fine/VF image area. Jan. 6 strip is unsigned, the other nine are signed in ink by Tuthill in one bottom panel. Funny and well-drawn. All pages shown online.
