Item Description
Each thin art board has 21-1/8x28-1/8 India ink image area including "Little Brother" or "Odd Animals" topper strip and 16-panel Bungle Family strip. (See #2169 for history of this comic strip.) Dates and hand inked titles include: Mar. 17- "Assisting Art", Mar. 24- "Up With The Chickens", Mar. 31- "The Big Day", Apr. 7- "Hard-Time Brothers", Apr. 14- "The Daily Dozen", Apr. 21- "This Is Not George's Day", May 5- "Full Weight Trouble", May 12- "A Bad Evening For The Neighbors", May 19- "Expert Rug Beating", May 26- "Good Intentions Again". Gags include George arguing with sign painter, chasing chicken through his apartment building in pajamas, having umbrella stolen in rainstorm, trying to fix radio and almost getting electrocuted, and arguing with wife. Blank margin edges have scattered lt. wear, May 5 page has 2" tear at upper right of panel 4 and is missing 2x3.5" diagonal piece at lower right corner tip, image areas have a few minor moisture marks and trace of lt. dust soil here and there. Overall group is Fine/VF. Each is signed in ink Tuthill in one bottom panel. Funny and well-drawn. All pages shown online.
