Item Description
Pair of labels are approx. 8.25x12.25" c. early 1900s. One shows woman dancing as man claps and the other shows front and back of "Punch" box with art of Punch smoking cigar with dressed up cat nearby. Cabinet photo is 8x10" showing Cuban or American factory with tables full of women making large Cuban-style cigars. All three are c. early 1900s and have moderate wear, cabinet photo has tape repairs on reverse for mat corner crack. VG. Real photo postcard, c. 1930s, is 3.25x5.25" showing street vendor selling cigars and espresso. Reverse side has pencil note that photo is from Havana. Lower left has imprint of photographer Belona Habana. Some lt. dust soil most noticeable on unused reverse. Front has VF appearance. 1921 soft cover house guest memento book is 8.75x12" with ink signature on front cover and 40 sepia tone pages containing extensive images of the home of the second generation of the founder of Cuba cigar industries, the Upman's. Front cover has attached clipped signature which appears to be "H.C. Upman". Interesting concept with beautiful interior views and wonderful cartoon drawings of the family on facing pages. Covers are VG. Contents VF. Final item is nice group of seven matte finish 7-7/8x9-7/8" photos c. 1950s showing field workers working with tobacco leaves. Photos have light edge curl, otherwise Exc.
