Item Description
Four items. Large framed cabinet photo and two real photo postcards are c. 1910. 11.5x14.5" wood frame holds "Kite & Bloom Chicago" cabinet photo with 7.75x9.5" image area showing seven women dressed as men and holding cigars or cigarettes. Lower left corner has some dust soil and a few moisture marks in 1.75x2" area. Overall mount is VG and image area is Fine. Nicely framed. Postcards are 3.5x5.5". First two feature women dressed as men, one shows nine women lined up in various styles of male dress as intended. Upper right corner tip and lower right corner tip is missing .25" piece. Image area VG. Other real photo postcard shows six people, possibly an amateur theatrical group or party goers w/ two men dressed as women, two women dressed as men and two women in black face. c. 1910. Some lt. dust soil. VF. Linen printed postcard is c.1930s with men dressed as show girls with text on back including: "Tourist, When In New Orleans, You Haven't Seen New Orleans Until You Visit Club My-O-My. Remember Mr. Pat Water's Million Dollar Revue. Tops In Female Impersonators". Eight performers are shown. Front includes text "The World's Most Beautiful Boys In Women's Attire". Exc.
