9.25x13-3/8" soft cover with 584 pages. Baltimore edition. Front cover has art image of "The Spirit Of Progress" female figural statue standing in foreground with map of U.S. in bkg. showing cities where warehouses were located. Back cover has ad for washing machine. Contains a wonderful overview of products available in the early 1930s including one page with toys including tricycle and coaster wagon (toy catalog was available separately), clothing, everything for the home and office, bicycles, sporting equipment including two pages in color with baseball equipment including autographed mitts of players including Joe Cronin and Heinie Manush w/their photos, automobile accessories, and literally thousands of items. Most pages are bw but many are partial or full color. Covers are worn with handling creases and color rubs VG. Last few pages and back cover have insect damage at bottom but contents otherwise clean and Fine. Great reading and comprehensive. The company was founded in 1872 by Aaron Montgomery Ward as the world's #1 mail order business. In 1926 the company opened its first retail store and by 1929 it had 531 stores. Wonderful piece of merchandising history.
