See Montreal Royals team photo with Jackie Robinson #1336. 8.75x18-5/8" vintage wood frame has plexiglass over 7-5/8x17-5/8" opening revealing photo titled “Montreal Royals, Winners Of 1941 Governors’ Cup For The International League”. Photo shows nine players standing on stadium field in uniform and includes Van Lingle Mungo who played with the Brooklyn Dodgers from 1931 to 1941 and the New York Giants from 1942-43 and 1945 as well as Dixie Howell and future Brooklyn Dodger Clyde Sukeforth. Two men in suits are standing on each side including club President and Vice President, traveling secretary, and Assistant to the President. Photo is by F. E. Marsan, Montreal. Clyde Sukeforth was manager for the team which played AA ball in the International League. They were an affiliate of the Brooklyn Dodgers along with several other teams. This photo refers to their defeating Newark for the Governor’s Cup Championship. Frame has tiny trace of edge wear but photo is Exc. A clear sharp image ready for display.
