13/16" brass shell with circle of stars surrounding oval opening with inset ferrotype at center which includes his name above his portrait. Emulsion has many craze lines but largely showing just in reflected light and the only actual loss is a microscopic dot on his mouth, for practical purposes invisible to the naked eye. A few brass luster highlights remain on the brass shell frame. Reverse has dot of solder holding 1.25" vertical stickpin. A rare piece.
