Item Description
14-1/8x19.25" wood frame with plexiglass has 9x14-3/8" photo mounted in center of cardboard mount showing 14 member team in uniform along with bat boy and three men in suits who are likely owners or managers. Catcher is sitting in front row with catchers mitt and mask next to trophy and framed plaque. Just beneath photo is attached paper with text in ink “Allegheny Steel Baseball Club Champions Allegheny Valley. 1917. Winners Murdoch Trophy”. Photo is taken on field with spectators in stands behind team. Text paper has trace of lt. aging but photo itself is Exc., professionally framed and ready for display. A great looking photo. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
