Photo is signed to fellow Cleveland Indians teammate Orestes "Minnie" Minoso who played with the Indians in 1949 and 1951 after being signed by them as a free agent in 1948. Paige played with the Indians in 1948 and 1949 with 1948 being his first year in the major leagues, making him the first Negro pitcher in the American League and the seventh Negro big leaguer overall.
