Item Description
c.early 1970s for a premium which was never produced. See items #2940-47. 6 3/8x9.5" sheet of vellum art paper has original art in ink and colored markers. Wonderful image shows Count Chocula gesturing towards figural pencil caddy which shows him holding pencil on desk in background with lead pencil text “Note: Be Sure To Buy Count Chocula Cereal Today!”. The Count is saying “A Handy, Colorful Plastic Holder For Desk Top Or Table. Keeps Your Pen Or Pencil Ready For Instant Use.”. Top and bottom portions have lines for potential lettering. Title at top “Count Chocula Pencil Cady” has the word caddy misspelled. Vellum sheet has been glued in place at top of reverse side to paper sheet which is also glued in place on sheet of construction paper. Top of front has bit of show through from glue and image area has a few pencil lines as designed by artist but otherwise bright and Near Exc. appearance. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold, accompanied by a letter to that effect from Gordon Gold.
