Item Description
1-5/8x2-3/8" Cuban card from set distributed in packs of Diaz cigarettes. The cards in this set feature players from the 1923-24 Cuban Professional League. 85 cards are in the set, the largest and one of the scarcest of all 1920s Cuban card issues. Printed in dark brown with photo on front along with team and player name and position "Habana B.B.C. Torriente-Outfielder." Card back includes number and description of the series with offer for an album. Margin trim but a clean card with strong image. One of the key cards in this set and listed in the 2011 Standard Catalog Of Baseball Cards with values of $17,500 NM, $7,000 EX, $3,500 VG. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
