Griffith in "La Paiva", John Barrymore in "Tempest", Buster Keaton in "College", Gloria Swanson in "Sadie Thompson", Mary Pickford in "My Best Girl". Back has small photo of William Boyd with facsimile signature. Green covers have fade around edges with lt. creasing. VG. Insides Fine/VF. Second item is 9x13" stiff paper portfolio published in Rome for 1934-1935 MGM Productions. Contains 32 loose two sided slick paper pages as issued with each devoted to a single star and/or film. Includes Greta Garbo, Johnny Weissmuller, Clark Gable, three different Laurel and Hardy, Joan Crawford (two different), Maureen O'Sullivan, William Powell, Myrna Loy, Jackie Cooper, Marion Davies (three different), and two different ads with Gable and Crawford together. Sleeve is heavily worn with dust soil and creasing with small tears. Just Fair. Individual pages have a few lt. creases and tiny bit of edge wear but are overall Fine/VF. Both had limited distribution, just for those in the trade. Both are high quality publications with wonderful images. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
