Item Description
8x10" matte finish photo titled "The Cubs 1944" shows 29 members in uniform on Wrigley Field with bat boy in foreground and stadium seats in background. Reverse side has ink stamp of noted photographer Geo. Burke. Three corner tips have pin holes not affecting image area, photo has trace of lt. rippling just visible in reflected light but overall Exc. appearance. Players of note with the 1944 Cubs included HOF'er Jimmie Foxx, who was also a coach, Eddy Stanky, and Andy Pafko. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
