Item Description
4.5x6.25" matte photo shows Marsans in full uniform having just swung bat at home plate. Reverse side has photographer ink stamp crediting Paul Thompson along with lead pencil text "Marsans Cinn Nat." A few lt. handling creases just visible in reflected light. VF. Marsans (1887-1960) played winter baseball in the Cuban League from 1905 to 1928 and was a major league outfielder from 1911 to 1918. Iconic photo taken in 1911. A great action shot. Reverse side has "Christies 1996 Original Baseball Magazine" hologram sticker. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
